Eric Burdon and The Animals----The Rumor is True Folks
For everyone who is contacting the website and my publisher, yes, the rumor is true that Eric Burdon and the Animals have given permission and have read the chapter of Leviathan and loved it, where their song, "House of the Rising Sun' becomes a very special part of the story. I don't know how the general public got wind of it, but yes, it is true!

As soon as I know which order to read the series in.. This blog entry will make sense! lol. I only found three paperbacks at Barnes and Noble.. are there more? I don't mind purchasing hardbacks. (actually preferred).
Hope that you get to San Antonio, Texas for a book signing in the future! If you have a newsletter.. that would let me know dates of future releases.. and book promo.. would appreciate being added to the list. Thank you!

Dear mr. Goleman, you were a new author to me when I read Event and was very impressed, you are right up there with James Rollins. I enjoyed them, however I think the books should be read in order because you mention previous "events" ands they are woven into the narrative of your books. After reading Ancients and witnessing Jack's death, I put off reading Legend for a while because I knew Jack was still alive. He was a very important character and he wasn't done yet. However, as with all fiction, anything is possible. can't wait to read Leviathan.

Dear Judy--
Thank you for writing, as with all series, there are certain pitfalls to attempting to write a series of stand alone books with recurring characters, ANCIENTS was an exception due to the fact that we lost a major character in Jack, however, that should not put anyone off in reading all but ANCIENTS and LEVIATHAN in any order they choose.
I hope I have answered your question Judy, and I want to thank you for reading the adventures of the Event Group---now get out there and read LEGEND, because you have very little time before the release of LEVIATHAN in exactly three weeks!

I plan to open the book in the bookstore to check for one thing before I buy it-and that's to see if we get Jack back. I'm hopeful that the large anamoly in the sea, toward the end of Ancients, is a sub that pulls Jack out of the ocean. Otherwise I don't know if I can keep reading without him.

Dear kim--
Thank you for your letter to the Event Group Files. Now, after three novels of Event Group adventures, does my reading public think that I would make Jack's death a casual occurrence? Don't you think I would have a plan, or at the very least a back up to the heroics of Colonel Jack Collins, a worthwhile substitute? Do me a favor, take a chance and buy the book, placing trust into the characters at Department 5656---I think you will surprised and very, very happy for that trust.
Sincerely--
